Thank you to all of the generous people who have donated non-perishable food and personal care items at the WTE’s Fridays on the Plaza! To date, we have received a total of six boxes that have been distributed to local organizations such as Safehouse and NEEDS, Inc. We will continue to accept donations. During the month of August we will collect school supplies.

What is Quality Childcare?
Parents, Childcare providers, Business Professionals needed!
Join us in one of a series of focus groups and share your knowledge and concerns about quality childcare for children, ages 5 and younger, in Laramie County.

Define quality childcare. Explain obstacles in finding or providing childcare.
• How would you make any necessary changes?
• How do childcare concerns affect the workplace?

Three series of dates are available—Please RSVP for only one date.

Meetings will be held at the Laramie County Library, 2200 Pioneer Ave. At each session, participants will be entered into drawings for $25 Positively Cheyenne gift certificates. A light meal or snack will be provided, as well as free childcare

SERIES #1 Parents: Tues., Sept. 7, 6-7:30 p.m. Providers: Wed., Sept. 8, 6-7:30 p.m. Business Professionals: Sat., Sept. 11, 10-11:30 a.m.

SERIES #2 Business Professionals: Tues., Sept. 14, 6-7:30 p.m. Parents: Thurs., Sept. 16, 6-7:30 p.m. Providers: Sat., Sept. 18, 10-11:30 a.m.

SERIES #3 Providers: Tues., Sept. 28, 6-7:30 p.m. Business Professionals: Thurs., Sept. 30, 6-7:30 p.m. Parents: Sat., Oct. 2, 10-11:30 a.m.

ONGOING MEETINGS/EVENTS/FUNDRAISERS:

Connections Corner: Regular weekly meetings on Wednesdays (except June 3 and July 22). People are invited to come and join us for dinner, they should just RSVP by the Monday before.

Meals on Wheels of Cheyenne, Inc.: Mart Store sells used and new merchandise.
Hours are Wednesday-Friday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., and Saturday 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Southeast Wyoming Foster Grandparent Program: Sales of the Foster Grandparent Cookbook at special events and to individuals who wish to purchase the books for their own use or to give as gifts to employees, friends, etc. Books sell for $10 each and can be purchased at the program office.

United Way of Laramie County:
Monthly Board of Director’s meeting: 7:00 a.m., Third Thursday, routinely held at Holiday Inn, unless schedule conflict arises.
Monthly Marketing Committee meeting: 3:30 p.m., Second Tuesday, routinely held at the United Way office, unless schedule conflict arises.
